Yay, I got my invitation and code today, will buy and download the Pro version tomorrow, got a splitting headache and stinging eyes at the moment, been cleaning the bathroom and shower, breathing in those chemicals can't be good for you guess I should probably read and follow the safety instructions, but who reads them . . .

I purchased BIAS FX Pro, and I must say I really like it, there are some freaking sweet sounding amps and stuff in there, (not just for high gain, which there are very nice ones) some of the Fender type stuff and 'lo'er gain amps with a bit of low to mid breakup going on are so sweet. For the most part the effects are great, it has gone a little TH2 with the splitter etc. Same as BIAS Desktop Pro, loads a little slow, slow changing presets, but nothing over the top.

Love it, love the whole tone cloud thing Positive Grid has set up for for both BIAS Desktop Pro and BIAS FX Pro, just so much awesome sounding stuff from all different styles right there at your fingertips, just audition/download and enjoy,  awesome.

I already own BD...so I'm not going to pay another "retail" fee
to get the upgrade...they can bite me...S-Gear is better anyways...
I like BD...but seriously...shouldn't existing users/supporters get
a break?

It's another product on it's own basically, it does compliment BIAS desktop, I was quite happy to pay the $199 ($270 AU) for BIAS FX Pro, well worth it.

I'm very happy with BIAS Desktop Pro and Bias FX Pro, the amount of quality amps and effects you get with BIAS FX Pro (Pro 60 amps 52 effects) is well worth it, and the sound is gorgeous, those lower gain/Fender Plexi etc, (and not just Fender) type sounds I mentioned above, blow away S-Gear in my opinion, so sweet, and some of the High Gain stuff is just awesome, cleans can be deliciously sparkling or as thick as you like. I think it is an excellent compliment to BIAS Desktop Pro

S- Gear is most certainly not better, not in my eyes and ears anyway. I haven't touched it in quite a while preferring stuff like BIAS Pro, Recabinet 4, Vandal, TSE, (even regained my appreciation for Revalver, albeit 3.5 over 4) and of course my long time go to TH2. For me S-Gear has pretty much been relegated to the back seat with the likes of Amplitube and Guitar Rig, just don't get the urge to fire them up, and that in itself is telling.

But I guess things sound/feel/suit each individual differently, good to have choice though, as long as you are happy with what you got and use, others opinions really don't mean diddly.

Not to mention the 'Tone Cloud' thing, and BIAS FX Pro's equivalent, heaps of awesome sounding setups just sitting there to be had. Audition/download and enjoy. Something else I just love about what Positive Grid are doing . . . awesomeness

It's basically the same program with the FX...that's not a new product to me...

It's nowhere near the same . . .  lol

Do you actually have it ? the Pro version ?

I have the standard version as I have no need for Amp Matching.

I've been using the Demo, and it's basically the same program with
effects and mods...basically an upgrade to the existing version...not something
entirely new IMO...

You may consider this a new product.  I do not...you say potato
I say patato...

Yes I understand where you are coming from, I guess I just don't think like that, they got something I want, they say this is how much it costs, I say here you go, and off I go as happy as Larry I'm not one to wait for sales or the like, if I want something I just get it, don't see the sense in waiting when you don't have to.

The difference between Standard and Pro is more than just 'amp matching' for both BIAS Amp and BIAS FX

BIAS Amp
Desktop (Standard) -
  • 36 authentic amp models to get started.
  • Complete BIAS amp design modules for customization.
  • Download thousands of amp models from ToneCloud.
  • Sync with BIAS iPad and iPhone.

Pro -
  • Everything from BIAS Desktop, plus:
  • Amp Match Technology to capture your tube amps.
  • Featured artists Amp Match presets download.
  • Glassy, Crunch & Insane Amp Expansion Packs.

BIAS FX
Desktop (Standard) -
  • 12 amps and 30 effects
  • Download pedalboards on ToneCloud.
  • Dual BIAS Amp Integration.

Pro -
  • 60 amps and 52 effects
  • 10 Rack processors
  • Download featured artists pedalboard setup

Anyway, to me it's an absolute bargain.
