Yes sir, Frank called it: get out the bourbon and beer  I'll bring some pretzels.

Gary, that was seriously well done.  I mean it was just letter perfect!

Back during my undergraduate days, I used to do a bunch of mason tending jobs to help pay the bills.  After a hot, sweaty day the crew would always stop off at some kind of seedy bar -- no matter where the job was.  This was the kind of music that would be playing in these places.  Boy did you nail it down!  Excellent stuff  Gary -- all the way around.

evadianepug: Hey Warren, how are ya? It's always great to hear from you. I don't know about that 'world class' stuff but I appreciate the listen and the kind words. Congrats on the 25 years...nothing to cry about there!

philz: Hi Phil. Thanks very much for listening and commenting. I've always enjoyed your music and I'm glad you liked this tune.

Freddy J: Hi Freddy. Yea, I've spent more time in seedy bars than I care to admit...but the dives are way more interesting than the upscale places IMHO  Thanks for checking out the tune...glad you liked it.

Gary - that is nice!  It is a nice and slow piece - nothing wrong with that.  The steel guitar is simply awesome.  Everything is well recorded and mixed.

Wow, Gary, this is really killer!

You've got an absolutely fantastic instrumental, with tons of super tasty steel guitar licks, sitting on a perfect bed of pristine instrumentation, all in a clean and wide, pro quality mix!

Phenomenal job, buddy, a true pleasure to listen to!

That's really lovely Gary. Very tasteful phrasing, and wonderful technique. I love how the horns and Hammond appear to bolster the arrangement, really subtle, and perfectly placed.

Some of the best playing I have heard on this forum, Gary. Just hypnotic.

Gary... I just listened again, and realized I could download it...  and so I'm downloading everything on your SC page... I'm doing some carpentry work and painting on my front porch today, and I'll be listening to all your music... all day today...

I wonder if this tune might work better if drums played a 6/8 feel on the verses, leaving the shuffle just on the choruses...
just a suggestion... Love this tune, and all the others...

Gary - this is one of the best pieces of music I've heard on here for a while - this is just gorgeous - soul from the gut. Man I love this.
