Not really my thing stylistically speaking, but the quality of the playing is there for all to hear. You have a very good ear when it comes to producing the right tones.

The steel guitar is simply awesome.
Well, steel guitar IS the king of instruments! haha...Thanks very much, Geno although, compliments like 'awesome' should be reserved for productions like yours. Thanks for listening, I appreciate the comments on the tune and mix.

Bob Oister: Hi Bob. Thanks for the listen and for the positive comments on the playing and mix. Love your 'Concrete Sky' video, BTW.

jamesg1213: Hi James, Thank you for listening, taking the time to comment and for the kind words.

jamesyoyo: Thank you, James! Much appreciated.

I'm downloading everything on your SC page
hooboy...that's incredibly flattering Frank but most of the stuff on that SC page isn't worth listening to much less downloading. But I guess you've figured that out by now

When I first started working on the tune I tried both 6/8 and shuffle rhythms but I don't remember why I went with the shuffle...however, every bit of advice you've given me has been on the money so I'll definitely check out the 6/8 again. Thanks for the advice and for listening again.

darylcrowley: Hi Daryl. Thanks for checking out the tune. Glad you like it.

I will have to post a picture of me with my steel
Yes! Post it, please!

CLEAN: Hi Mark. How are ya? Great to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by. Glad you liked it and I appreciate the positive comments. Great job by you the the Geronimo Cowboy on 'Sometimes a Man'.

sharke: Thanks very much!

Hi Paulo, I always find it gratifying and encouraging when people are open-minded enough listen to music that is outside of their own genre. And you are consistently one of those people. Thanks very much the listen and the kind comments.

Well, I finished repairing my steps, and painting my porch and it all went smoothly, while I listened to your excellent music..
You are truly a gifted musician with a cool and tasteful  sensibility... Your music should be on a CD Album, and available for sale... You should be very proud of what you've created here... I arranged a playlist on my iPhone, and will be listening to your tunes regularly... and hopefully learning some great hotlicks... Well done Gary, and thank you...

Steel (or any slide) guitar makes me want to stab pencils into my ears to stop the pain, and I could only listen for minute or so, but from what I heard, the mix sounds really good and the performance was awesome.

notnat: Hi Frank, Thanks very much...your're way too kind!  BTW, I attempted to try 'lastCall' in 6/8 but the problem I ran into is that, if the drum program is using a 6/8 pattern, the project has to be in 6/8 or the measures don't line up.  Changing the whole project to 6/8 would mean (as far as I could figure) changing note values on the other midi tracks (piano, organ and bass) to get them to line up.  In the end it was a good idea but just more work than I wanted to put into the tune.  But, thanks again for the suggestion!

timidi: Hi Tim.  As always, thanks for checking out the tune.  I'm glad you liked it!

Hi Shad, I tried to warn you but you just had to find out for yourself, didn't you?  Thanks for giving it a shot and hanging in for a minute...and thanks for the kind words on the mix and performance.

When I listen to music I'm always picking it apart...what works, what doesn't, what sounds good or bad.  But, this song just sucked me in.  I got caught up in the whole vibe of the song loving every minute of it...so much so I didn't even think about picking at it.  And hey, I'm a rocker!

Great writing, arranging, playing and just overall great vibe!  Thank you, this made my day!

Wow, I really like the way you've captured that "Classic" country style which is missing in so much of the modern country that they play these days. Playing is wonderfully soulful, Almost like a Charlie Pride tune without Charlie .....  Not my style, but I really liked this one !!! Great stuff, keep the faith!!!!

Thanks very much, Al.  You made my day!

Tap: Hi James.  Thanks for listening and taking the time to leave a comment.  I appreciate the positive comments and I'm glad that you found the playing 'soulful'.  Thanks again!
