the cello lick at 16 seconds.... & repeats around 1 min.... take that out.... IMHO it sounds like something from a Disney movie animation march of the elephants or something. Those few seconds of that lick places an unwanted comedic pall over the otherwise dark and on target music.
Just those 2 places . The rest sounds good.
Of course... it's your tune, and the opinion is just this one man's opinion.
Oh ok,I know where you mean. In the video cue at 16s they want the music to pick up pace and give a sense of danger. I put the cello there to contrast with the slow movement of the tremolo strings.Maybe they need to sound edgier and more aggressive to really put the point across / make their intention obvious perhaps ? When the music is playing to the video its a lot more clear why they are there I think -it gives a kind of a classic hammer horror move vibe with the picture which I like.
But yep I hear you man ! I wish I could work out a way to post the video,then it would be easier to see what I,m blabbering on about lol ! Maybe Ill suss a way this afternoon,
