Big thanks Frank, getting a compliment about tone from the king of tone is really great. Glad you enjoyed.

Big thanks Bapu, worked on the snare s'more still not completely what I wanted so still struggling with that.

 Big thanks Phil the Wildman

Big thanks Charlie, I'm a big fan of how you are able to take elements from Rock Metal and Grudge and make something fresh and new sounding.

 Thanks all more to come...

I would change that stock sounding snare out, and humanize the drums to give them just a tad of swing.

Good stuff.

You nailed the vibe perfectly. My wife looked over as if to say, "that's really from the forum?"

I agree with jamesyoyo about the snare and drums. IMHO, the snare is a bit too prominent, and the drum groove doesn't match. I noticed right away that the kick was only occurring on one. If you could get a human groove that pushes the beat, it would be perfect. Everything else was awesome!

Grant,

Nice job, you captured that ZZ vibe really well.   I like your treatment on the vox...   Nice guitar solo too..   Very enjoyable listen.

Yoh Grant,

This kicks major butt, just like the original. And major props for the GTR: great tone and tecnique.
The mix is strong- a good hard rocking sound.

And all you Top fans out there will be happy to learn that the boys can still do it:

Grant, this is absolutely brilliant.

Slams you right between the eyes in an agreeable way.

There's nothing to criticise as far as i'm concerned, it sounds just perfect.

I'm not familiar with the original, but i loved this.

Top track in all departments.

Big thanks Lynn, Wayne and Brother James, glad you enjoyed.

Bats thanks for stopping by. As far as any aha moments I can't really say there was one single but there was a few things I didn't know about gear that I discovered mostly related to my amp and direct monitoring with my interface.

More to come

Good stuff Grant!  I think the mix was pretty good from my end here.
