I don't know why that just popped into my head but it did....perhaps it's all this talk about the guy who claims he was adrift on his capsized boat for 60 days. Something fishy about that too. But Balloon Boy....LOL!

Yep, I remember that.  IIRC it wasn't the first "stunt" the family had pulled, just the most publicized.

I remember that, I actually saw it unfold. I was eating lunch under a tree on a hot sunny day when I saw a metallic reflection in the sky. I watched it for awhile and wrote it off as a weather balloon or a research balloon from NOAH (National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration). When I got home that evening that story was all the rage.

That's not the first time I've seen a curious object in the daytime sky: A few years earlier I was at a light rail station when I noticed a similar reflection descending as it got closer I realized it was headed right for tracks. When it arrived it was a ticking box with a parachute attached that had slung itself over the Catenary wire that powers the trains. It looked suspicious and was fouling the tracks so I notified Light rail control and security. Before they all got there a NOAH van showed up, the guys in the van said it was part of an atmospheric study and they wanted it back promptly.

I have my suspicions about 60-day capsized boat guy also. The guy looks in better condition than most people you see walking the streets, and that was after 60-days alone at sea.

Well, not surprisingly, he intends to write a book and no doubt it will contain lots of juicy stuff about how he was kept safe by the hand of God.

I guess suspicious is not okay.

It's a rather suspishus word. Creative spelling, extra spaces, or oddly placed punctuation can allay suspi-cions.

We prefer to think of it as an endearing quirk of the forum software.

Those letters may well have been filled with helium.
