WOW . . . you have some fine tuned ears.  I think what your hearing is the mandolin riff.  I hear it also and your probably correct about it being out of tune or maybe its just my playing.  I'm thinking about going back and seeing what the song sounds like without the capella breaks.  THANK YOU very much for the props and comments/help.

Kev, more than anything else, I think this song demonstrates some tremendous growth as an artist. No disrespect meant to any other, but I find that many updates do not actually improve a work (especially in my case). This is a definite improvement. I am a bit in awe of your abilities truth be told.

Good song, very catchy.  I like your update vs. the original 2008 take.   The original take is good but not quite as infectious as your current rev.   Really fine songwriting.   I could hear this on the current country charts...
