During that 8 measure bridge, the rhythm section starts an accent pattern on the "and" of 4 (it starts in the end of the preceeding measure).

The accents pattern is 4 eighth notes - "and" "1" "and" "2".  If I was playing this live I would probably hit all 4 of those eigth notes on the snare.

@quantum: it's amazing how flip-flopping the beats like that just make the whole thing feel different!

@mikemccue & jamesyoyo: yeah, I found me a CD on amazon with two Donnie Iris albums on it. "Back On The Streets" & "King Cool". Was totally blown away by the songs. Especially, the production and arrangements. On the surface they seem to be harmless little pop/rock songs ... but, there is just SO much going on below the surface. I feel many of the vocal arrangements are on the same par as Queen! "Back On The Streets" has a concept feel to it. The stories that Donnie tells ...
