You're absolutely right, it really doesn't come out tasting better than frying.  In fact, it tastes horrible!  You wouldn't want to try it at all!

For whatever it's worth, though dog is commonly used in english, in French, "chien" is pretty derogative and more or less falls into the same category as pig and rat...

I'm definitely going try a 'Matcha Latte' for a change --- surely just one cup of this iridescently green, slimy and frothy brew can't hurt.
