Paul asked me to do the vocal on this cool tune, and Ed McG did the sax part. Paul did everything else in his studio Calamity Pop in Kuala Lumper.

Even before I started laying down the bed for this one I knew who I would ask to do the vocal. Luckily Randy agreed and, in Ed's words 'really delivered the vibe'. He has just the right timbre for the track, as while we didn't want to do a carbon copy, the original song was so perfect we also didn't want to stray too far away from it. I'm very pleased with the way this turned out as it's one of my all time faves.

Thanks Paul.

Sounds great this end.  I'm loving those big tom fills.

What are you using there?

Ooooh I like this,  lovely vox and the production on the brass is spot on.

Nice cowbell too

The drums are Joe Baressi Evil Drums for Superior Drummer 2. The brass blasts are built from a sample disc by Greg Adams (Tower of Power). I used Melodyne to make the chords fit.

The cowbell is because last weekend I had a fever. And the only cure was...

Jonbouy-Yeah, I was really flattered when Paul asked me to do this.
The guy has some serious chops, and some of the best ears around.

Karyn-I love the horns too. Thanks.

James- I had a feeling you would remember this tune. Thanks for listening.

I love the feel on this. My kind of slanky groove. Vocals are real nice and sultry. Great job guys.
I did hear some pitch correction glitches. Well, one:) John Q would never notice though.
