James, this is a short, but sweet piece of music.  I enjoyed the listen, but I think the mix could come up in volume somewhat.  It's very smooth, but there's not much tension and  release.  But, kudos to all involved for writing good parts.

James,

I do like the song.   I listened yesterday and again today.   The song itself it really good, I like the melody guitar tones, etc...  I found something about it distracting and it took a few listens to put my finger on it.    I think what you have are some timing issues, it is apparent when the drums first come in with the piano.   It is mixed well and is certainly an enjoyable listen but to my ears the rhytmn section just is not together and it detracts from the overall performance.   By the time the drums get more prevalent and active in the mix towards the end it does come together.   I am a fan..

Very nice composition James and an interesting arrangement that keeps your attention.

You always have great tones coming from your guitars and this one is no exeption. Very enjoyable melodically too.

I have to agree with markno though about the occasional timing errors of the percussion and it did distract me a few times.

Overall though a very well crafted piece of work.

I noticed this too James... I love the arrangement, and the performances, but not so much the drums..
you mentioned revisiting them... I think you should...  Very cool music and production otherwise...
Well done guys...

I love the flow of this piece.  I don't know if its the  drums or the space the drums are sitting in that throws me off.  GREAT colab looking forward to hearing more of your project.

Sorry James, I meant to listen and comment earlier. I like it, "as usual." Something a miss with the bass though? Did you know I'm a bass player? And? I have an Alembic? (Not many bass players can say that :-)

This actually kind of a Steve Vai vibe to me? It's the guitar melody and in some respect the tones. It's over now, in retrospect, it feels almost like part of a rock opera? Like "a scene?" As it it was something else, then this happened, and it's about to transition to the next scene?

(I'm sorry for that Ed, I didn't bust um too hard? Just a tap really? Like a fist bump?)

Actually it sounds pretty nice all the way around? I did particularly enjoy the guitars. Good job.

I don't listen to enough "happy" music so thanks for the change up in my play list habits.  Very playful - esp. the guitar.  Sweet.

I thought (think?) the piano could be bigger, esp. at the first, as benefits an almost solo instrument.  Seemed a bit constrained - the voicing not the playing.

Thanks AT. Glad I cheered up your playlist! You're right about the opening piano, I did actually double it but maybe didn't push it far enough.
