Wow this is a great cover!

Robby, your singing is perfect for this bit of tunage. Very well done!!!

Mark, your musical skills are great. What a great bit of playing!!!

My only crits would be the guitars, lead as well, seem a little dark and use a HP filter on the toms just a touch.

Excellent tunage!!!

Thanks Primo? I think Mark "nailed it" with the Genevieve Morton remix (personally.)

I like using the words "nailed" and "Genevieve Morton" in the same sentence for some reason?

Can't figure out why?

Your welcome snobby?

No "Primo" has a positive connotation?

Definition of PRIMO slang: of the finest quality : excellent

Examples of PRIMO I found a primo parking space right out front. <thanked the volunteers for a really primo job on the parish fund-raiser>

Vs. the other thing?  Just please PLEASE don't call me "Jobby..." OR Bames! That would be a high insult, much worse than Snobby.

I make up names for pretty much everybody, Franko Oh OHHHH! Yo Yo YO! Timaaaaaay! So you're in good company? One I have not used would be ba poo? But that would be derogatory, so I would not use it. I've referred to Foxwolfen as Foxy (and some other things unfortunately) BoB Oister as "The Oisterizer?" It's idiosyncratic, but not intended to disparage.

Damn.

I think I'll slink away now and cancel the upload of that new song I did that I was going to post.

This is awesome guys.

Robbie ... please don't take offense ... this is the best vocal I've ever heard from you.

Your voice is incredible on this.

Bubbles, thank you "very much" for your high praise. I worked hard on it, it wasn't the 1st take :-) Mark has a way of milking my best performance out of me (and not in a way that I enjoy either...)

However, I have to stop and give respect to my collaborator as well. While I did bang the vocal like a screen door in a hurricane, I could not have done so without "the mood" of this tune being laid down by Mr. 999. And his performance on the ax's, the mix, the drums and bass, and working me in to it all is really top notch. I am very lucky to have such a talented person with which to collaborate. So from all of us (both of us) to all of you (you may be a big man?), many many thanks for listening, and for commenting!

He's working hard right now on our next offering? :-) Mark is "the man!"  IMO, he's right up there with my all time favorites, Franko American, Timaaaaay, And the Yoyo Factory... Not that others aren't great or equally as good? I'm just sayin, we all have our favorites?

Great job guys!  Mix is great.  I love the sound of the kit - is that Superior?  Really nice kick drum - very natural sounding drums.  Guitars are perfect.  77 Les Paul?  and Pod Farm.  That is a winning combination.  Nice guitar solo Mark - great tone!  Robby - the vocals are top notch as always.  Nicely done.

I had issues with V-Vocal and X2 also.  Then it started working - no rhyme or reason.  V-Vocal seems to change with the wind for me.

I e-mailed Mark and said, "Damn! Love from Guitartrek (Geno) Wow..." That guy is a guitar player's f'ing guitar player! :-) In my book, he's a 10? And a singer too boot!

Geno's Pizza! You honor us with your comments! If Mark doesn't thank you personally? I'm gonna kick his a$$...

Some bump sub-par music from non-contributors? I bump epic music from those who post on/to  many?

Robert (Guitarpima) - Thank you for the comment and the crits.   I had a temp mix up to fix the issue with the hot mix (peaks) so I am hoping that is the version you heard.   The guitars were a little bit dull in that mix.   I do appreciate your comments and suggestions.

Gary - Thanks for the listen.   The original versions are really good.  Thin Lizzy have had some outstanding guitar players throughout their history, Gary Moore, John Sykes, Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham.   I always liked Phil Lynott's writing style as well.

Kev - Thanks for stopping by the thread for a listen.

Tim - Thanks Tim, appreciate it.

Grant - Thanks for stopping back.  Glad the remix is up to speed.

Bub - Thanks for the listen.   I agree, Robby did a great job on this vocal. Appreciate the comment.

Geno - Yes, the drums are Superior Drums.   I have spent a lot of time on my drum template recently.   I have found the Console Emulator in X2 to be quite awesome for drums and bass.   I actually had an issue with another project file this week that I ended up having to pull into X1.   While the project worked OK in X1, it just didn't sound as good.   The Console Emulator and BReverb don't work in X1 as they are only licensed for X2.   I am sure I could have tweaked with X1 to get it there but I feel the Console Emulator just adds instant magic to the tracks.   Have also started using pieces the Waves Kramer Tape, Tubes and Transisters on guitar and vocal tracks.   It includes the Pie Compressor, HLS Channel and Tape Emulator.    Ha, I hope my V-Vocal starts working i n X2, it is quite annoying that it doesn't work.  I have had a number of flaky issues with X2 but am willing to work through them for the results.  Hopefully we will see a patch soon that gets this rev stable.   I bought the '77 Les Paul in 'early 78 at around 15 years old.   It is a really nice guitar....  Had a Washburn whammy installed in it after I saw Neil Schon with one back in the late 70's.   Anyway, thanks for the comment.  Look forward to your future posts..

Regards
