Robert (Guitarpima) - Thank you for the comment and the crits. I had a temp mix up to fix the issue with the hot mix (peaks) so I am hoping that is the version you heard. The guitars were a little bit dull in that mix. I do appreciate your comments and suggestions.
Gary - Thanks for the listen. The original versions are really good. Thin Lizzy have had some outstanding guitar players throughout their history, Gary Moore, John Sykes, Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham. I always liked Phil Lynott's writing style as well.
Kev - Thanks for stopping by the thread for a listen.
Tim - Thanks Tim, appreciate it.
Grant - Thanks for stopping back. Glad the remix is up to speed.
Bub - Thanks for the listen. I agree, Robby did a great job on this vocal. Appreciate the comment.
Geno - Yes, the drums are Superior Drums. I have spent a lot of time on my drum template recently. I have found the Console Emulator in X2 to be quite awesome for drums and bass. I actually had an issue with another project file this week that I ended up having to pull into X1. While the project worked OK in X1, it just didn't sound as good. The Console Emulator and BReverb don't work in X1 as they are only licensed for X2. I am sure I could have tweaked with X1 to get it there but I feel the Console Emulator just adds instant magic to the tracks. Have also started using pieces the Waves Kramer Tape, Tubes and Transisters on guitar and vocal tracks. It includes the Pie Compressor, HLS Channel and Tape Emulator. Ha, I hope my V-Vocal starts working i n X2, it is quite annoying that it doesn't work. I have had a number of flaky issues with X2 but am willing to work through them for the results. Hopefully we will see a patch soon that gets this rev stable. I bought the '77 Les Paul in 'early 78 at around 15 years old. It is a really nice guitar.... Had a Washburn whammy installed in it after I saw Neil Schon with one back in the late 70's. Anyway, thanks for the comment. Look forward to your future posts..
