...and I know that the good folks here will offer a friendly shoulder (or at least, maintain a courteous silence.)

Last week I realized that the foam surrounds on my old Tannoy monitors were deteriorating. I thought I was going to have to buy new speakers (God knows I can use some but I can't afford them), but then I saw online that they're not difficult to replace. So, I went onto Amazon and ordered a new pair of surrounds. They were shipped from Florida on on the Thurs., the 21st- "Estimated delivery date Tue. the 24th - Fri. the 27th". Here it is, a week later and they're still not here. Really!?? Over a week to mail (USPS) a small package from Florida to New Jersey???! REALLY??!! And now it's Saturday and my mail already came so I guess they won't be here before Monday.

Tracking says that they arrived at the carrier on the 21st and now they are "On the way". That's useful.
I suppose I could email the merchant. (Hopefully it won't take a week to get a reply.) I suspect they'll say it's in the mail and they can't control the USPS.

Don't mind me, I'm just aggravated...

I share your frustration unfortunately.
I have ordered a few thing lately and they are/were shipped USPS.
Extremely slow is putting it mildly.
The tracking shows that it sat in Memphis for 4 days.
Then it left Atlanta 3 days ago and has not gotten to any destination.
So, I guess the mail truck is circling Atlanta on I-285.
Not to mention that the package had to pass by me to get to Atlanta from Memphis.
I deal with USPS with my job and it seems that all aspects have gotten slower.
Sorry for your frustration.

well the tracking here in Australia is always the same, you get 2 updates, company receives the package, gives it the go ahead, then it's in transit, and that's it, why they bother with giving you a tracking number is beyond me, it's totally useless. I have a new set of monitors on it's way, should show up tomorrow hopefully, but the tracking, every time it's the same, useless

Maybe the carrier is in a dry dock!
