I just really hope they continue development with it. New patches, sounds and such. They did say they are hoping third parties pick it up and start making patches to sell.

Hey everyone, Nathan from Wide Blue Sound here. Saw a few of you were checking out our website, so I wanted to register and say hello :) I used Sonar for many years when I was becoming inspired to try a career in music, so it is dear to me and I was happy to see that cclarry created a thread here.

If anyone has any questioins, feel free to either ask them here, use our live chat (I'm usually online when I'm awake!) or email us at theteam at widebluesound.

The response to ORBIT so far has been humbling - we've received dozens of emails saying how inspiring the synth is to both use and hear. We have some cool music demos up and an interactive interface at www.widebluesound.com.

Yes! We have already started working on v1.1 and a Kontakt Player version. We have 10-15 cool features that will be added - free of charge. We are also working on more patches and sequencer patterns, and we have our favorite third-party developers working on premium preset packs soon.

Edit: The intro offer of $150 lasts until April 15, when it will go to the regular price of $200. As mentioned earlier, you can get an additional $10 off this deal by liking or sharing via the website. So this is the cheapest it will ever be :)

Thanks guys.

Hey everyone! I want to announce our BIG 1.1 update. ORBIT now works with the free Kontakt Player, and has a slew of new features. Here is the change list:

ADDED: ORBIT now runs in the free Kontakt Player! It also now adds to the Kontakt Library tab, and features an easier install. (Your factory snapshots folder is now in the main ORBIT folder.)
ADDED: Assigned NRPNs to most parameters; enables external control from OSC, Lemur, etc.
ADDED: Input Quantize: Select a quantize value, and notes and chords will always start perfectly in time. Preview exactly what your pulses and chops will sound like, without needing to first record & quantize in your DAW.
ADDED: Micro-tuning: Holding shift when adjusting an ORBIT's tuning allows for cent-adjustments.
ADDED: a new ALL switch that makes CLONE and RANDOM affect the Orbit Parameters as well. This allows for even quicker experimentation!
ADDED: Several new sequencer processes.
IMPROVED: Naming of some existing sequencer processes
IMPROVED: Timing of certain sequencer destinations
IMPROVED: GUI enhancements
There are also many small improvements, tweaks and minor bugfixes.

Most fun of all, ORBIT is on SALE for $150! Use the code DEFY_GRAVITY at checkout. This is only for a short time so act now - there's never been a better time to jump into ORBIT!

Thanks everyone!
Nathan & Jeff
