Hi all
My musical experience has been mostly singing to a live audience.
However, I'm interested in recording music, but I'm not had much experience of that and as I've discovered it is challenging to get it right.
Nevertheless very enjoyable.
Anyways, here's my latest original composition put down to hard drive!

Hope you enjoy.
As usual all comments welcome.

Great song! The vocals seem to be too up front and detached from the band. The kick drum needs to be heard also.

thanks elix and scottytunes
I played the instruments except the drums, which I programmed.
I can redo the drums with a more pronounced Bass drum part. I used a Roland DR880 for this.
I'll work on it more once I have a few things to try on it. All done in my mates studio.
Thanks for the listen!

Not my cup of tea, but seems a well arranged and performed. For me, the fun in this is figuring this stuff out, so I know what you mean by challenging yet enjoyable. The mix is indeed a bit low volume.

You have a good song here, but, as others have noted, the mix sounds distant and doesn't blend with the vocal.  You can easily fix this, and you'll have a winner on your hands.

I agree with most. The song is fun and a keeper. The production is as stated. As Shad states: it is fun figuring this stuff out. Keep at it and listen to the good advice on here. There are many who will give you good pointers.
