Thank you all for your feedback! This is highly appreciated!
Guitardood, you're absolutely right about the opening and end guitar part. The problem is, it's got some hiss going on which would get more audible being compressed. dessing might be an option, never thought of that. Another option would be to tame the peaks manual bit by bit.(I should have taken the time actually) The best option would have been to re-record it, but I kind of liked the lazy feel about it... so I just left it. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment. These are the right kind of critiques that make us improve : )
Manny, I'm glad you enjoyed this! ...and It's a special compliment to hear, that you're still listening to Highway. That song means quite a lot to me. I'm feeling honored.
Notnat, Thanks : )
If you had a relaxed listen, I guess the tune served it's purpose. ...now I can relax.
Kev, thanks for commenting on the mix!
Lately I'm trying to apply everything I learn from training videos, books and this forum of course, but most of all from the previous mistakes I made and still make to give every instrument it's own space in my musical constructs. I never seems to get easier, so your comment comes across rather encouraging.
Thank you so much, guys, and have a relaxed Sunday evening!!
best regards,
Daniel
