I'd like to share a track. It's entitled "Lightning Strikes" and it's a gtr instrumental. The track is going to be on my second solo cd which is due for release in about a month.
 
The track was recorded and mixed in X1 and mastered in Adobe Audition 3.
 
Gtrs used: Les Paul Standard.
Amp: Marshall TSL miced with an SM57.
Bass" Direct from a Bass Pod
Drums: Gretsch Catalina kit

Yes, I've been busy recording various albums and also trying to fit in time to finish my own. At last though it's done and I'm getting quotes etc for replication and printing. So it won't be long now.

Great job, Peter.  All the changes kept me on my feet with my cellphone held high.

Excellent and real nice to hear real drums for a change...Is that you on drums? 
Anyhow I don't often make it through whole songs but this one was to good to stop! 

The guitar tones were great. Nice intro. However, when you jam so long on the same riff, it loses the listener, no matter how rocking your licks are. Although, the song was OK, I came away with the impression of another Satriani wannabe. Maybe, differentiating a bit might help.

Interesting piece. The musicianship is extraordinary. I will say that this is possibly the loudest mix I have ever heard. I had to turn it nearly off to make it acceptable to listen too at 12AM. I want to throw this up on the mains with the big sub, as I am curious: How good does it sound when the levels go up? Given how loud it is right now, I am not sure.

I'm on the fence with the tune itself. It just seems to meander for me. Of course, Satriani, Vai and all those guys bore me. Great players but self indulgent. To me, it needs some good lyrics.

The bass and bass drum are not there. The mix is way to top heavy.
