I quite enjoyed this for what it was.

Though my furry ears felt every thing to be a touch crowed in the centre of the mix just the observation of a off world furry visitor.

Thanks for sharing

A guitar fest!  If you don't like this you don't like guitar.  Huge sound.  Excellent guitar tone!

Guitar harmony... I've been known to be partial to guitar harmonies... Good mix and excellent playing.

Hi Peter-

Satriani-esque is a compliment from my perspective. I agree that it sounds Satriani-esque, but it's obviously yours. Great tone and I like the melody and how you use it to ascend and then descend with a flurry. I definitely don't think that you over-played. Nice work. If I had to offer anything, I too found the bass and kick not be prominent.

Great job and great song.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for not replying sooner. Been away to the coast for 4 gigs. Got back yesterday.

Thanks so much to everyone for firstly taking the time to have a listen and secondly to give me some feedback.

@Cactus - No thats not me playing drums. It's a guy called Larry Rose. I played gtrs, bass and keys.

Regarding vocals: I have released 6 vocal albums over the years (not me singing though) under the band name "Off the Edge".

In 2010 I released an instrumental album as a test to see if it would do anything. The response was fantastic and I had the wonderful task of having to go back and make another print run. The second run is now almost sold out. This gave me the heads up to make the second instrumental album.

In reference to the "Satriani" feel I have to say that it is clearly co incidence. It certainly was not intentional.

@eko thanks for your comment on "Blues Parade". The album has quite a variety of styles on it and "Lightning Strikes" is very much a "riffy" type of song.

@foxwolfen - The cd has been mastered with a level which is relative to a lot of cds out there. I did however pay attention to the dynamics and the transients. I feel that there are still a lot of dynamics on the cd and it hasn't been squashed to death. The album does sound good at higher levels.

Anyway, once again, thanks everyone for taking the time...

Cheers,

Peter.

Hey, Peter,

This is an excellent rock instrumental with great playing and monster guitar tone in a clean, fresh, modern sounding mix!  Pro sounding production all the way.

Pure dynamite, my friend!
