It does seem the Gibson side of Sonar is self contained under the Anderton umbrella in Braintree. I think the relationship is a lot more grey than Craig makes out. When he says that something he provides was done for free, but he on the payroll of Gibson and it to me comes under marketing.
 
 

I don't know, we all do things above and beyond for the companies we work for, with out really getting direct compensation for it.  I am sure that Craig wanted to add that content for our benefit.  In the long run, it pays off.  My name is on a patent with my company, but I will never see the monetary rewards associated with the patent.

I wouldn't consider one of their monitors. They might be good but I would never get past the thought that I might be paying extra for the flame maple front... besides, I don't care for flame maple. I'm not sure I would buy a microphone that looks like a bee either, but that's just me. I may change my mind on the mics if the price is right and the reviews are good.. but not the monitors. I bet they will sell like pancakes though.
