Hi Mesh,

I think I might have misled you there. No need to route the standalone version into Sonar... The VST comes with the latest beta versions. So we can add it as a VSTi within Sonar, after a bit of messing around in the windows registry...

Yes, I actually saw the VST file in MG2 download.........I just couldn't get any sound to work in the MG2 (beta 5?) standalone version for some reason, and as a result didn't even try it in my DAW. (I posted the loopmidi info in case someone else might be having the same issues as I am/was :)).

I heard the Beta 6(?) fixed some issues (possibly the one I'm having as well)......will test it tonight. Overall, I'm very pleased with the progress of MG.......it just needs a little more fine tuning to get it to be a perfect solution for us guitarists.

Thanks Scook for those links........yeah the spam blocker did kill it.

The 64bit Beta 5 and 6 VST work for me. I did not play for long but had no problem with them in Platinum. I have not messed with the standalone versions since the plug-ins were released.

Thanks Scook....that's very reassuring. I'll install tonight.

Beta 5 worked for me in Ableton as a VST (and WOW is it fun!) - haven't tried in Sonar Platinum yet...

I'm still pretty new to this, but MG2 is keeping up with my playing, but I ain't no shredder LOL.

My only issue is with rogue notes, that are not accidentally sounded open strings. I am assuming that they must be harmonics or something.

Not a major issue for me because I'll always have to go into PRV anyway in order to fix my playing. I'll get rid of the rogue notes at the same time.

I've noticed that my faster playing needs to be slightly "adjusted" when playing MG in order to keep it clean and correct, but by no means am I a shredder....unless you're talking about shredded pork with BBQ sauce.

Since I didn't get an email from Jam Origin on Beta 6, I went to their site to download.....but, there's no Beta 6 download available???

I got it by running the Beta 5 standalone. It gave me a dialog to enter my email which then sent links to the new beta.

Yeah, Mesh, you've got to go all the way back to Beta 4. From there you can update to 5 and then 6.
