My son just told me about this so I'm giving it a shot. I'm an old Firefox guy and don't care for IE or Chrome. My Firefox has been crashing since the last FF update. I was getting worried. If this doesn't crash, I'll be a happy man. It is a 64 bit Firefox clone from what I can tell. I did no research or go to the site. My son uses Torch(for gamers), and knew abot Waterfox, so I installed it and we'll see how it goes.

It's based on Firefox but is very unstable. Did you try uninstalling Firefox completely and then reinstalling it after backing up your profile? That usually does the trick. FF is still the most secure browser out there. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Not a fan of forks. Amazed there is no 64 bit official Firefox yet.

According to Mozilla 64 bit is available from version 38 on.

I don't care if my browser is 64 bit, but FF was crashing and I really don't want to change browsers. I this one crashes, I'll do the uninstall/reinstall thingy. 64 bit browser is much faster.......fwiw

Turn off auto-update on Firefox, and you won't have to update every time a new version comes along.  (You can then do so at your own convenience).
 
And why not rollback to the previous version for the time being?  Switching browsers seems a tad drastic just because one update is causing problems.

It's not really switching browsers IMO.  For one thing, you can't run both programs at the same time. It says FF is already running...Everything looks and feels the same, just a tad quicker.

i've been using waterfox for a couple of years now, because i prefer the logo ;)
