I've been patiently studying the manual, but I've found no notes on portamento feature. For some reason I imagine I've seen it
in earlier versions. Any advice?

In Kontakt, portamento is called "glide" and it's treated as a modulator.

However, I just checked in K4 and did not see it listed there as a modulator, but it is in K5. Sorry.

Hmm, I may have spoken too soon. There is apparently a factory script called "Unisono/Portamento" that you can load into the script editor under Presets -> Factory -> Performance. I haven't used it, so I have no advice. I just stumbled upon it while poking around.

Been playing around with the Unisone - Portamento script. It's about the coolest Kontakt feature and I didn't know it was in there!

Thanks for asking this question!

Sorry for not reacting sooner!
I've written on software forum so seldom that I did not remember I've posted :o/

I'll study Unisone-Portamento as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your help!

No need to apologize. Thanks to your question, I discovered a nifty new feature in Kontakt. Someday, I should read the frickin' manual.

As a bonus, I also learned a new musical term: unisono, meaning to play in unison or in octaves.
