  • NI Rounds and Monark...no sound when triggered by controller board...SOLVED

Just did a massive upgrade with Komplete Kontrol/Maschine Freebie package and Komplete 10.  Everything seems to be working OK except both Rounds and Monark make absolutely no sound when played from my Midi controller.  All other Reaktor ensembles, etc...seem to be working fine (although I'll check em all just to be sure).  Is this just some boneheaded thing I'm not doing right?

Did you receive an email from NI? I got one and it says:

Hello Rick Tucker,

Thank you for purchasing KOMPLETE 10/KOMPLETE 10 ULTIMATE.

ROUNDS, KONTOUR, and the KOMPLETE KONTROL software were not included on the installer for your KOMPLETE bundle. Instead, they’re provided as downloads – here are your download links.

I didn't include those on purpose...

Yup and I've got em installed.  Figured it out though.  I had to keep resetting Reaktor's midi input setting to Omni until the "silent synths" would see it and remember it.  It took several times but finally worked.

Also, for anyone using Komplete Kontrol in Sonar (which is acutally pretty neat and for just quick control and playback better than K5) but, again, you've got to make sure on most instruments that your midi input is set to Omni...at least I do.  And on the Komplete Kontrol screen the normal control bar like in Kontakt is hidden and there's a little icon you have to click to get it to appear.  Then you can easily set your midi to Omni and, viola, your triggering sounds again.

Another thing to watch out for with the new pianos in Komplete 10 is they take a bit to load up and the tiny little white line that shows load time is not very noticeable.  Just an FYI.

That's the way it was last year when I bought K10...those didn't come in the package...
they were downloads...

You would think they would be in Ultimate. Anyone know for sure.

They're in K10, you just have to download them as they are not on the disks...
I'm sure they will be the Hard Drive for Ultimate
