Ok all you guitar players can throw away your guitars after watching this video , this kid is so fast your head might spin just watching him play on stage !

No offence to that kid but my son was pretty much on par with that when he was 14 too. I do not believe that kid or my son are exceptional, I just believe that have a fierce desire to play. I know my son did and still does (he's 38 now).

I'll never be there of course and so I respect what they can do. But it does not make me want to throw away my guitars (or my basses when a comparable bass player is linked, i.e. Wooten).

I think Herb means that the kid is fast and all but he has no soul in his playing.

BTW, that's my opinion too. The same was true for my son at 14. I believe that learning to play fast and to play with soul are two side of the same coin called playing.

Until the kid learns soul, he'll just be a shredder. No harm in that, though if that's what his audience wants.

Yea that is true but as he gets older who knows that might change for him .
