I was watching a Sci-Fi show about the future and began wondering what the message might be from the future if we could receive one.  This song is the result of that thought.  Yup, it is about tree hugging, bugs & bunnies, and the alteration of our biosphere's ecosystems.  I couldn't help but express the thought.  After all, I've been in this business for over 40 years.

I know that I don't normally do slow songs very well (to do better might require knowledge and talent).  So, again any suggestions, comments, etc. would certainly be appreciated.  In this number, I believe that I did get rid of the noise that plagued my previous song (hopefully). Thanks to those that pointed it out.

Thanks again!!

Here are the lyrics Daryl

Tell me what were green trees like
Did you ever see a blue sky
I heard there were green open spaces
Did you ever see a bird fly

CHORUS
These are all things --- That I never will see
Weren't they important enough ---- To save for me

Tell me did you ever sail
Out upon a crystal clear sea
I read it was full of life
There's only pictures in the library

CHORUS

I think that this air that we breathe
I just know it sickens me
And the water that we drink
It tastes bad chemically

CHORUS

Weren't they important enough
To save for me  ------------  To save for me

I am way down with the biosphere message Freddy. I hear ya. Cool tune indeed.

The drums need a slower "shuffle" to match the vibe of the song, and the fills need to be thinned out.

It feels to me like the drummer is playing to a different tune? :-(

Signature Freddy's vocal style. Sort of a blue cross with some Grateful Dead. Nicely done

Good idea for a song Freddy, and you carried it out nicely. Those drums don't really work though, but I know it's tough to find shuffle loops and fills. I like the slow attack lead guitar, I use that effect quite a bit myself.

Good idea for a song, Freddy.  You played and sang this with conviction.  I hope it never gets that bad in the future, but you never know.  Thanks for being the voice of reason.

Nice, layed-baak vibe in this track freddy. loved the backwards guitar part, gave it a slight psychadelic sound.

Thought provoking lyrics too.

Hi Mark:  Thanks buddy.  Every once in a while I try to get serious and try out a slow message song.

Hi Shad:  Thanks for the feedback.  We might chose to ignore what we are doing but it will catch up with us in the long run.

Robbaaaaay!!!  When you are right you are right.  Thanks for tip.

Hey Vicente:  Thanks for listening and for the kind comments.

Thank you James.  I kind of like the slow attack also.  It doesn't work on rockabilly ;>)  but for me it has a nice effect on a lot of other stuff.  I appreciate the feedback on the drums.  Thanks!

Hey Lynn:  Thanks for the comments and feedback.  Hopefully, reasonable thought based on empirical evidence will prevail.

Thank you John.  I am glad to see that you are putting up posts on the forum again.  I love the new songs that you are putting out.

Thank you everyone for your feedback.  I have re-done the drum track after to listening to almost every loop that I have.  "That's all I got -- I ain't got no more."  Hopefully, this one is more appropriate to this song.  Thanks again!!
Ooops -- I wiped out everything when I tried to replace this song with the re-do.  Hopefully, I repaired it and it is back in order with the new one.
