  • And, while I'm at it...EZDrummer1/2 problem...isn't there a fix??

I've been working with some older projects lately that were all done using EZDrummer 1 and every one I've pulled up so far loads up with EZDrummer 2 instead (natch) and seems to have its "track" brain scrambled as other tracks...say Lounge Lizard play the bass part, say Trilian and bring up the EZD2 GUI when clicked!!??  The only solution I've found so far is to copy the midi from the scrambled tracks...delete the offending tracks and their respective synths and then re-install them.  Very tedious and frustrating.  And worse, sometimes even that doesn't fix things.  I believe there was a fix for this problem after it was found to be ubiquitous.  If you know about it...could you hip me, please!  Thanks.

There is a Sonar mode that you can engage. I believe you can do it in the stand alone version prior to opening your first Sonar project. You will then be queried whether you want 8 or 16 stereo outputs.

Open what prior to what to engage what?
And then choose which, 8 or 16????
Can you clarify that a bit please?

Thx!

I upgraded from EZD 1 to EZD 2, but I'm not sure now in which Sonar projects I used EZD 1 or 2.

Concerned that any instance of EZD in Sonar will crash my system....

Update:  Opened a project and loaded the EZD vst with all its stereo outputs.  No troubles.  Selected the Sonar option to always ask or always show the number of outputs at startup.

Hopefully that is it...?

That's pretty much how you do it.

If you open a project with the 16 tracks option and you find that the other softsynths have their inputs mangled, then close the project without saving and reopen it with the 8 track option selected.  Everything should be as you expected it.
