OK - sometimes I just feel like doing these sappy kind of songs. I actually think this is what I'm best at. I wrote the chords to this in about a half an hour - one of those where you sit down with a pencil and a piece of paper and it just kind of writes itself. It's been a long time since I've played all of the instruments on a song - I did on this one. Anyway, thanks in advance for taking a listen - I hope you enjoy Ballad 2013

Yah know.. at first I started to think... hmm, hi-pass here... tweak there ... then as I listened more... I went... no.... that would take everything that makes this song special, away. And this is actually kinda special. It is like we got a little piece of the real Mark coming out of the speakers. I feel like I somehow know you better now. I hope this does not sound odd, but.. there it is.

I enjoyed the raw vibe, the acoustic drums and percussion with the expressive Hendrix vibe over the top. 

Actually this may have been a Robert Petway tune too.
