If the upgrade price is NOT $49, I'm not in for this one.

Probably $99 or $149?

I'll try the demo first before I decide.
I just hope the audio engine is still the same. Snappy as hell & one of its best features.

upgrade purchase, download, install/activation just took me less than 3 minutes! (not including the new content, that's still downloading)
the core app is only a 90 meg download...
it picked up and migrated all my settings from v2
i loaded the last track i was working on in v2 and it just works
some lessons could be learned i think...

I just watched the live event.  Scratchpad and Arranger are great tools.  There's nothing there that would make me do the slow motion run into their arms, however.  I've always loved their Mastering Suite though...

Yep, I just dl'd & installed the demo.
Very fast, off to test & check it out.

I'll save my $149.95 upgrade fee towards Harrison MixBus 3. And I'll probably have $100.95 left over.

MB3 is the tool I'm looking forward to. Not so much for it's DAW features but when it's out as 64bit I can finally eliminate all 32bit plugs from my system and use it for final mix/master on that Harrison console.

me too, though i've already been pure x64 for about 5 years now! at least, i seem to recall it was around the time just before live8 did their x64 beta cause i was thinking i'd have to let that go so what to do with the apc40? is that 5 years yet?

I think the DAW is going to be a real success. Well done PreSonus, and congratulations S1 users.
I wouldn't have ditched it if they had released this a year ago.

After an exceptionally quick and easy demo install, when I opened a project I thought I'd mistakenly downloaded Logic X.  :-)

Some cool new features and content, but the upgrade price -- $149 for the Professional version, if I'm reading it right -- doesn't exactly make it a no-brainer, does it?  No worries ... there will undoubtedly be a sale in due course.

Like Bapu, I'm really looking forward to the next version of Harrison Mixbus.  Hopefully it'll be a little more stable than the current one.

Cheers,
Eddie

interesting isn't it? As a new user I'd think S1 would get a lot of support. Now i'm invested in Splat and RapPro i'll be staying, but I have Notion 4 and the ease which that integrates into S1 is very tempting (esp given ReWire is, erm...)
