Hi,

I just re installed a new version of Hybrid 3.0.5 from Air MusicTech. The first time Sonar opens up it ask me to activate the product and I did but I don´t find it in the instruments. I can see the plugin in Ableton but not in Sonar. I use Sonar Platinum

Does anybody has this issue with this or other product?

It may have installed in a directory that Sonar is not pointed to to scan in
the Plugin Manager.

It it IS in a scanned directory then probably need to re-scan the plugins...

I'm confused. You get an activation prompt when you a) start SONAR, b) open a project that contains Hybrid, c) insert a new instance into a project, or d) when you open a Hybrid UI within SONAR?

Is this something that just started happening after updating the synth, but was working OK before the update?

Sometimes a new version of an instrument or effect is seen by Windows/SONAR as a new plugin, depending on whether the old and new versions share a common CLSID. If the update uninstalled the previous version, it's possible existing projects may not find it. Try inserting Hybrid into a new, blank project.

Thanks for your reply.

I un installed the other version of hybrid and then do a clean install of it. I open Sonar and it found the plug in since it pop up the screen of activation, I activated the plug in and close Sonar because I was installing other plugins of the expansion pack, But when I open again Sonar I could not find the plug in. I can find the other plugins but not Hybrid. It is in a scan directory.

I think I will uninstall it and then install it and see what happens.

Since it came up as non-activate it probably got marked as bad in the Sonar plug-in dateabase.
Some iLok plug-ins have this issue if they are not enabled before Cakewalk's plug-in Scan.

Now that you've activated your new plug-in..,

Least technical fix:
Go into Sonar Preferences, under File under VST Settings and click reset.
Then rescan your plug-ins.

More technical:
Go into registry,
locate plugin under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64\Inventory  (change as appropriate if using 32 bit version of Sonar or earlier version of Sonar)
Check to see if "isBad" is set to "1" - if so change to "0", then rescan

(Edit)
Note: you can avoid issues like this if you authorize your plug-ins before they get scanned with Cakewalk's VST plug-in scanner.
Use Seib's Savhost (http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm) or IL's MiniHost to run & authorize the plug-in before firing up Sonar.

Thanks, what I did was uninstalled it and then re install it and it work. I guess is the problem you mention that they need to get authorization before open Sonar. For me was the first time it happened.

Thanks for you reply!
