I think he/she/they did a real good job of taking the musical / lyrical essence of the original (imaging a better world)  and injecting a bit of spirituality to it.  I never liked the original Imagine, I thought it was a depressing – a bit dark and soulless – void of any real uplifting message.  Personally, I am not a religious person but I do believe the human race has some glorious moments that place us a step above every other animal on this planet. What, if anything that means, I do not know but I would like to think that it does in fact mean something. So, this remake, reconstitution or “version” works better for me, the agnostic.

I know it's hard to take. Especially with the right and left media giving no information. Think about it though. The US spends trillions on defense. Our economy is based mostly on defense. The weapons must be used or else they would not need more. We spend more on defense than the next 15 countries combined.
 
I'm not saying that people don't care about one another but, as a whole, we don't. Why do people complain about other not "paying their fare share" when most of the time they "do" more than their fare share.
 
There's a better way. If people, as a whole, believed that stuff their religion teaches them then this world would not be such a bad place.

Yes if we're not careful, the US will end up going down that same road. We're well on our way with our war economy.

I never called you names. Since you did, I would much rather be a "delusional ideologue" than be brainwashed by nonsense. Please keep it to the song now. I think it's a great song but it's a complete antithesis of the original.
