I'm not familiar with the original either (I think) but yes it seems to be a good ground this a little bit hash on the drums but it´s maybe so it is done in the first place. Like to hear it with a vox later.

Well, if you can pull this off, it will be a triumph of grand proportions. This is a brutally "individualist" song in that the lead singer has a very distinct vocal styling, and the band a very distinct production style. More than many other bands, it is the style that makes this band (and this song in particular) interesting and unique over their music alone. But, you have the theatrical ability to work with this one, so I am eagerly anticipating hearing what you comes up with.

I like your mix Alan. The drums, bass, keys, and synth vox in the beginning all good. 

I would like to hear it with words/vocals. Nice pop tune.
