Just curious about the people around this forum. If I had a choice I'd have a career in media. However, most of my work in life is dead end jobs so nothing special here.
What do you all do? If you have a career, how did you get into it?
This is just me making small talk.

As little as possible.... (is that a viable answer?)
If not... then.....
I run a security installation and servicing business for the past 23 years. It lets me buy the toys I like.... and eat.

I've worked with dogs for the last 12 years. We provide dog walking, pet sitting and occasionally training in Manhattan. I guess it would be quite lucrative if I wasn't paying taxes and fulfilling all of my legal payroll obligations. But, I do alright and get to hang out with lots of cool animals both indoors and outdoors. Since this is Manhattan though, I have to deal with a lot of crazies, most of them yuppies in doorman buildings who are 100% convinced that the sun revolves around them. Oh and the odd mass murderer (well just one so far).

a retired musician. Guitar was my instrument. I presently
Am
a Professional Wimp. That's what I do for a living. I have ambitions still. When I
Am
ready and it's my time to go I hope to be crushed by an avalanche of naked women. I think that would be fitting for me and just my luck

I'm a technician for the cable company.
A good part of my day looks something like this:
I like the work most of the time.
But when you are at the top of a pole in freezing rain and wind, it kind of makes you question your sanity

I've run a commercial broadcast studio for the last 25 years. Used to have 6 employees. Now down to me and one part time "partner" employee. And melting like the wicked witch of the west as we speak. Starting a new "bring me your magnum opuses created in GarageBand on your iPad and I'll give them a right good Rogering" kind of biz. I'll keep ya posted.
