I'm so tempted to say something beyond odd like "I used to make sex toys from aborted fetuses" but that is even low for CH standards

Careful, you may find your post has been marked as offensive to aborted fetuses. They are notoriously lacking in a sense of humor.

Spent most of my life as a Registered Nurse. Also trained in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) and spent about 7 years working in a wholesale HiFi importation business.

Part time musician and audio work since the age of 14 and have now been forcibly retired for 4 or 5 years due to my health. Dodgy back and chronic pain and my wife is my carer. Lucky her

My wife and I have been fortunate to have worked hard early in our life so we own our home and have no debts to speak of and I can even afford the occasional toy, though usually subsidised by selling some audio equipment I don't use any more.

I currently play music on my own and am yet to really record some of my own recent songs to share with others. I'm basically an acoustic guitarist/singer and have mostly gigged on my own.
When I was not performing I was mixing live and studio for other people's projects and now that I'm retired I get more offers for audio work than ever. Mainly mixing other people's recordings or mastering. I've got a home studio that I've been putting together over the last 2 years since we've been in our new home. Things come pretty slow these days so it's still a work in progress.

That's me.

My wife asked me what I was doing yesterday.  I said "Nothing".  She asked me the same thing this morning and again I said "Nothing".  She said "You did that yesterday."  I told her I wasn't finished.

I'm a retired Mechanical Engineer from a plant that makes electricity.  Now I do Nothing.   ....except try to make some music.

I retired in 2008 from my gig as an Electronic Engineer (Analog Integrated Circuit Designer), and then proceeded to start an Consulting Company (www.analogenglabs.com) that I did for 6 years for fun and keep my brain active. While doing the I.C. Design during the week, I had a Polka Band (yes! A Polka Band) that played 3-4 every weekend (I was much younger then) for 40 years (started when I was 11) playing from Maine to Florida.
I got back into music full time in 2011 and I'm having so much fun with Music that I retired the consulting company. Life is good...

Tony - you're in Chattanooga, which power plant did you work at?  I was at Soddy-Daisy for a couple of summers as an intern in the late 90's.
