@ Dub,
Very selfless and thoughtful of you.
For anyone who also happens to stumble on this topic:
Johnny Cash was also highly respected in the film/TV industry and is certainly not just another county musician/writer, his music was way more than that e.g. Gospel, Rockability and Rock n Roll, which I think (correct me if I'm wrong) won honors (Hall of Fame) for each of those categories.
Johnny Cash will never be forgotten; he continues to inspire and influence many musicians/writers, amazingly, a very diverse range of styles/genres from Punk bands to dare I say on these forums, Pop and R&B i.e. Justine Timberlake's co-written release 'Cry Me A River', whilst accepting an award for 'Best Video' Justin Timberlake honored, with all due respect said, "
My grandfather raised me on Johnny Cash, and I think he deserves this more than any of us in here tonight" (Justin Timberlake)!
