This is an unusual one.  Downloaded the demo and it's working fine on my system, but MAN, what a CPU hog! I definitely won't be using this in a mixing situation -- maybe for (pseudo-)mastering.

As for the sound, initial impressions are good -- very nice vari-mu type gluing effect on a full mix.  However, beware of big rolloffs at the frequency extremes, particularly down low.  If you don't want to lose your bass, try the limiter mode instead of compressor mode.  Both modes roll off highs above 15K or so.  May or may not work in any given situation, but worth a try, nevertheless.

Cheers,
Eddie

It's pricey at retail, that's for sure...

I'm sure they will optimize with an update...

@Eddie

I haven't tried this demo but have Alex B's GMD.
Do you know how they compare?

Hi Carl!  I don't think they're based on the same piece of gear.  I don't have AlexB's GMD, but I do happen to have his GMC EQ library, and it does not exhibit the rolloffs I see with the Audified plug.  This seems to be a different beast.  Would be interested to hear your thoughts on it, anyway.

Cheers,

I can't install anything new until I do a major backup & am waiting for a reg. number in the meantime.

IIRC Alex B's GMD (German Mastering Dynamics) is  based on a Neumann U473 comp/limiter.  I take it they're different models?

I never used the HW of either so I wouldn't know the difference anyway!

Nice comp but sure does need a HPF for today's use & material.
CPU was fine for mastering but found it a bit glitchy. Even if they add a few needed features I'm not sure I'd spend $149.00. There's  many comps that can basically get you the same results. Good old Waves API 2500 for one.
