Truly you are the master of your domain...

It's Jackson Browne as Lynn pointed out, but somewhat autobiographical (ran sound once or twice...) :-)

I played it at a dinner party I hosted over the weekend and it was well received? It was a Jamacian theme. I served Jerk chicken, Jerk pork, and Jerk beef. But the end of the evening, my guests were all saying, "is there any meat this man won't Jerk?"

Thanks Frank, I could have written it?

I was performing it at an open mic night the other night. It was touch and go there for a while? I kept touching myself, and they kept asking me to go...

Actually, it is Jackson Browne.  It would make him smile, I would guess.  At least, it would make Rosie happy.

Sounds great.   I hear the early 70's country rock sound for sure, although it sounds more like Jackson Browne to me than the Eagles.   Very well produced.   I agree with Tim as well, your voice does lend itself well to the minimilist instrumentation.    Speaks to your skill as a vocalist;)

Regards

Lynn, that would make my day if he heard it and smiled :-) He's one of my influences. Thanks!

Nice story Robby, and a very nice song too. Am i listening to the right one though? Rosie?
That's the one Mark. The moral of the story is, "sometimes no is the answer we need, even though it's never the answer we want?" There could be a song right there!

Thanks buddy, I do enjoy my instrument :-) (vocals, come on people, get your minds out of the gutter! There's not room there for both of us!)

Great job on this one Robby!!!!!

Alan, thanks for listening and for commenting.

I'm glad you were pleased with the way I "pulled this off."

OK, that is officially the last inappropriate reference I make on this thread, "trust me."

I won't be caught with my pants down again.

Well, this is not my preferred genre of music. I am not an Eagles fan. But, as always, nobody can fault the performance or song writing skills you possess. You possibly have the best voice on the forums (possibly, its a close call though ), and you use it well. If I was in to this kind of music, I expect I would love this.

Cheers

It's a classic? And it's hard to beat a classic!!

difficult at times, but not impossible.

The good news is? If someone finds anything objectionable? All they need do is hang around for a song or two :-) And it gets switched up :-)

Although there's no guarantee it may not go from bad to worse?
