Trying to keep track of what's going on in the coffee house these days is like reading a Russian spy novel....

Who has the time or ?? (I don't know what to call it) to take the time and trouble to change their name... why would anyone want to do that, is it supposed to be funny? Isn't life hard enough already? Mine is... please don't make it harder by doing things I don't understand.

Weird-o's...

Who on earth thought this was a good idea

Now the forum software has the capability for usernames to be changed, only a Cakewalk member of staff should be able to perform this action.

Anyone wishing to modify their moniker should have to contact Cake and give a good reason for dragging them away from more important tasks. Obviously it's a boon for those who inadvertently joined using their email for example to be able to use another name, but that's the only sort of criteria that should be acceptable.

Changing one's username on a whim, for 'a larf' as it were, is really scraping the bottom of the humour barrel. And doing it to impersonate another forum member is a violation of the Code Of Conduct:

Impersonating Other Users, Accessing Another User's Account, Holding Multiple Usernames
Your privacy is important to us. Anyone impersonating another member, attempting to access someone else’s account, or creating multiple accounts for the purpose of stalking, trolling, harassing or spamming will be banned. Also, Cakewalk strongly discourages having multiple user names.

I'm referring to the NAK thread but it was edited so the true rudeness is not apparent.

You guys need to stop oppressing transnames! It's 2015, and if one doesn't feel comfortable with the name they chose 5 years ago, they should be able to change it to reflect who they really are inside!

You're all a bunch of namecists!

I am not a namecist!  Or is that name-a-cist? Or maybe name-a-cyst?
Namecists unite!
Who cares what we are called. Afterall, you can't judge a book by its name...
Heck, look what the Beatles picked for their name!
