I've always liked Eric and his product lines. I have all three and he has my full support. It looks like he dropped some lbs too.

However, this time I'm not that excited about the new release.  It's cool but seems geared towards EDM artists and sound tweakers, both of which I am not.  I was kind of hoping that he would do something with RMX.  Most likely, I'll still get it just because it plays well with the other two and the GUI has been updated.

As always, his pricing/update policy is outstanding.

I agree. The inabilty to import your own samples was really the only thing that was missing IMO which has now been resolved, but I didn't find the rest of the update to be particularly exciting. I guess the trouble is that when I first got Omnisphere, I was just blown away by the depth of it, so that makes it a tough act to follow for someone who already has it. Not saying I won't get it, but I'm not crossing the days off of the calendar either.

I think this update is truly something to get excited about. At least if you are open to having essentially a lifetime of possibilities at your fingertips.

I am waiting to see more before I get too excited. The sound import sounds cool but I really want to see more than I have in the announcement video.

I wasn't interested until he got to the 2nd half of the video. It looks like some cool sound designing can happen with that thing. I hope it turns out to be a great product.

I've held out on the current Omnisphere because of the price, but finally just decided to go for it when I heard this announcement.  I should get the free upgrade when it's released.  I'm pretty stoked and have a feeling I'm going to really like it for the type of sounds I'm into.  I'm primarily a rock/metal guitarist, but I like to experiment with some electronic (kind of industrial I guess) and with non-traditional synth sounds in my music, rather than trying to emulate existing instruments.  Looks like a pretty powerful tool.

Spectrasonic's website has lots more info (sorry can't post link from phone for some reason) Out looks awesome.

If u have omnisphere it's $249
If you have omnisphere trillion and rmx it's $199. Yay!

Available in April

I will get this, but wish there was one more tier of prices, one for those who own Omnisphere and Trillian.  Would be nice to have that at perhaps $229--right in the middle.  Still, I will buy it just to have the new feature and the extra library.

JRR Shop did have the upgrade (Pre-order) for around $224.10 vs. $249. Put it in your cart to get the discount price.

Really excited for this upgrade. I used to used a lot more VSTis but I've been only using hardware synths for the past 5 years or so... Omnisphere is the only VSTi that I have left - or at least the only one installed. This might be my ticket back "into the box"...

Must have just missed this.  Put it in my cart, but it was still $249.  I will keep watching and see if that price returns.
