I would just wait for Renn Maxx to go on sale since you seem to like the Renn Series.
It goes on sale quite often...and you'll spend only a few dollars more to get all the Renn
plugins.  They are also included in the bundles as well (Silver, Gold, etc...) which go on
sale all the time and are great value...

And just like that, bam!  On sale TODAY ONLY (5/2), you can get Renn Maxx for $118.99 when you buy from Audio Deluxe (price shown in cart).  Not a bad deal.  (I checked Plugin Discounts and Waves Universe just now, but they didn't have the sale price up yet.)

If you buy the Maxx bundle, you're free to sell the individual plugin licenses you already had at whatever price you can get.  The Waves license transfer process is quick and easy, as long as your WUP is current (which should be the case if you bought within the past year), and Waves, unlike a lot of other companies, charges no transfer fees.

The Gold bundle is also a great deal when it's on sale -- it's been below $200, but it may be a while before it is again.  Curiously, not all the Renn plugs are included in Gold.  Missing are the Channel, DeEsser, RenBass, and RenVox.  They are nice to have, but Gold is chock-full of other useful tools.  If they interest you, it may be better to wait for a deal on that bundle instead.

Cheers,
Eddie

Renn Maxx is $118.49 at Plugin Discounts...
which surprises me because usually the $149 prices are $110...

Well, I didn't get the Ren Maxx bundle....  Just felt there were too many plugins I wouldn't use.  And after these discussions, I've gone back through the BlueTubes bundle and revisited the Sonitus Suite too - that MB Compressor is a gem.

Having said that, the Ren Reverb is now on sale for $39 with the clock ticking.

Regarding reverbs, Sonar provides, Perfect Space, Breverb2, BlueVerb and Sonitus.  Any compelling reason one would add the Ren Reverb to the set?

Only one: you are compulsive plugin collector. I am not judging.

Thanks:)  I suspected as much.  No harm, no foul.

In my haste to produce decent sounding recordings, before really understanding how that's done and what can be done with the tools already in the box, collecting is a trap it's easy to stumble into.  I've spent a few bucks, but I've learned a few things as well.  For example, I just used tube saturation for the first time on my last project.  The Softube Saturation Knob works great.  Next project I'll experiment with the PC Tube Saturation and maybe the BT Analog Valve Driver.

What do I owe you for the session, $39?

Waves Aphex Aural Exciter is awesome on the drum buss if used sparingly.

R-Verb is better (IMHO) than any of the convolutions or algos mentioned above. I'm not judging either.

Wait...I guess I am😉
