C'mon, Larry. Be nice.

Let's be glad that ST3's still undergoing active development, optimization and fixes.

I don't advise installing 3.5.1, see my bug post here:-
http://forum.cakewalk.com/SampleTank3-major-bug-introduced-with-latest-update-351-m3216412.aspx

I wouldn't call that a blocker from installing the update.  It appears to happen only after a search and does not affect sound just imprecise preset pane behavior after doing a search.  I know that's not good for your workflow, but I wouldn't bet it affects everybody's regular use of the product.  Your ticket has been logged and is being worked on.

Edit - Potential workaround support has tried with Sonar too (I tested with Standalone first): Click the 'x' to clear out of the search field (and this closes your search), and all loaded sounds would trigger back to their location when clicked on.

Note, if the workaround isn't working for you for any reason please let support know.  It seems to be working in multiple setups including "out in the wild" but if you are not one of those folks for which it works, they can help.

I know a lot of focus has been on the drum libraries, but the American Acoustic Guitar sounds great too, get more information in the video or at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/sampletank3sounds

The quality of these three new libraries is encouraging and may bode well for the future of SampleTank. I really hope they keep coming, as I do like ST3's interface and I'd love to see it eventually become as useful to me as ST2 was.

However, I also think these instruments are not particularly competitive at $80 when there are comparable Kontakt libraries out there for less, and more capable instruments for just a little more.

The land of mid-priced, mid-quality products is dangerous turf in which to position one's products. To stand out from the crowd you've got to be perceived as either great or cheap; acceptably good at an OK price is the dictionary definition of "mediocre".

Still, AFAIK this stuff comes from Sonic Reality, which could mean it's great indeed.
