I think she did say something about being all over the map once..
That didn't come out right...
...or did it?
The thing is that to take 'Jessie Sammler' as an example I generally enjoyed his/her posts most of the time, even the characterization was fun. I mean really in case nobody realises my real name isn't Jonbouy. I guess in the end though JS jumped ship because of the deciet and pretence of trying to appear to be something he wasn't becoming a chore.
I don't suppose many of us
really respond to the avatar or nick (although 7 pages here may indicate otherwise.) so I don't really buy the personal attack thing as being valid much of the time. I just either agree, disagree, am interested, disinterested in the content of the posts.
It goes without saying that I'm not qualified to attack a person on account of their forum account because most of the time I don't know them.
Of course I like certain people on account of what they tend write and others I may not like as much for the same reasons.
I didn't like the OP simply because I didn't agree with it, and although there is a great deal of frustration going on surrounding DAW 2.0 I don't think it is detrimental to the forum, the product or the world climate.
Most of it is understandable being as many have spent good money on what appears to still be a turkey. Constant denial, or at least a non-commital stance surrounding the latest release from the vendor, some weird kind of blind brand-loyaty from a certain populous of the forum and a concerted effort by many frustrated users to get various issues addressed is my view on what the current forum demeanour is about.
All in all the current climate here is understandable not because the membership consists of savage low-life, I will defend my point until the end that this place is full of good people, help, care, humour, creativity and positivity and any dissassociated member coming in for a cheap swipe is unlikely to be very well recieved.
Had the OP come in and stated what her view of the forum was rather than what was wrong with us all I'd have probably agreed for the very reasons given above.
And for the record here's the original impressions of the forum I had when I joined in.
http://forum.cakewalk.com...;m=1385894&mpage=1 Carissa I'm sure has plenty to offer this place so I say again welcome to the Coffee House, no need to be aloof just join in.
