You really think it's tough here?  If you want tough, try posting a conservative thought on Salon.com.  I had a guy reply to one of my posts by saying he had a dream, and in the dream he shot me in the face...  Really.  Ever since the case of the liberal blogger girl (can't remember her name) that received so many death threats (by other liberals, oddly enough) that she would not come out of her house, the blogosphere has been far more self policing, including Salon, which had preveously been almost entirely unmoderated.  Salon now removes posts that are more than x% profanity, and death threats.

Compared to Salon, Huffpo, etc, this place is a piece of cake ;-)

If you really think this place is comparitively hostile, perhaps you should just get out a little more.  Sure we have some jerky boys here, but nothing that's profane or threatening.

Dang, Bub.  I actually own one of those.  It's a Zouave 50 cal Civil War era rifle (functional, of course).  It hangs right over the mantle.  I keep the AR-15 in the closet.  It just doesn't look right on display in a log house.  I do have a Winchester "Yellow Boy" reissue on display though...  It's sweeeeeeet.

And, I live in MD, which means helmet laws.  No way my hair looks that good after a ride on my bike.  At least not with some work.  Nice jacket too, I have an xElement that looks similar.

That Jacket is vintage 1980 Brooks of Detroit (no longer in business).  Something about wanting one that matched her boy friend's.  All way before my time.  I'm only 7 years old.
