It might be good, IDK... I hope Chevy is on. I hope it is more funny than offensive, then again one mans offense is another mans whatever...  ...3 hour special.

OMG totally forgot about this. Thanks for the reminder Jbow. I've been looking forward to this for awhile now. Older SNL cast members is what does it for me... from day 1 up to around the time Eddie Murphy left the show... but man that Xmas salty ball sketch with Baldwin is so hilarious. Looking forward to some funny stuff tonight.

Well, the opening with Fallon and whatshisname was so crude I was on the edge of turning it off...

What di I expect, IDK... living in the past I guess.

The show is much better than the opening!! Best I've heard McCartney sound in a decade.

I'd hate to have heard what you consider bad jbow.

Finally watched (DVR magic). I was disappointed they did not show more classic skits. I saw teasers and heard references, but don't recall actually seeing many of them (e.g., more cowbell, the plumber, etc). Maybe it is just that everyone has their own favorites. But it seemed they concentrated more on the live show reminiscing about the past 40-years, rather than actually looking at the past 40-years. They did do a lot of 1-second peeks though, which frustrated me because when you saw one you liked, you then wanted to see it.

They did get me with Jon Lovitz being in the deceased member list, until the very end of it.

And why did they waste what seemed an eternity (even with fast-forward on the DVR) to the Kanye West performance. The best part though with Kanye was later with Wayne's World, and they were able to play on Kanye where he was guarded by two big dudes preventing him from running on stage.

Nonetheless, criticisms aside, I did find the show very good. It was great seeing so many of the participants again.

Macca was sh!te. The man needs to retire or find a replacement singer ala Journey et. al.

McCartney has been better. I've seen him twice live (2009, 2013) and he was awesome both times...so I wouldn't give up on him just yet.
