Does anyone else find having a conversation on Twitter to be frustrating and confusing? In terms of design and usability, it seems that the site falls far short of what you'd expect a modern social media experience to be. I'm just going through my notifications now and it's never immediately apparent what you've already replied to, what's read and unread etc. Then there's the "view conversation" and "view more in conversation" which expand and collapse things in a way which is totally baffling. You'd think they would have made the whole thing more user friendly by now.

I don't find Twitter confusing at all. Of course I never use it so that might have some impact...but so good so far.

I do not use Twitter all that much because there really is not much to say. Most importantly there are several features that are critical to ..... {Sorry, I have reached the 140 character limit

I don't know, I think the character limit is one of its good features - it forces you to get to the point

I get into discussions with people on Facebook and find myself writing mini essays. It's not good.

+1 Couldn't agree more. (I was mostly joking in my 1st post, sorry)

Seriously, I like Twitter but only if there is very interesting comments/links to share, particularly media content.

Go to Help section (click on your tiny profile pic, top right menu) there is a lot of useful information. I found it easy for example; embedding Twitter feeds on my site.

Yeah I think for the first time in my life I'm going to have to read one of those "Dummies" books (only kidding, I've read like 60 billion of them I'm that dumb )

I think knowing basic features such as, posting, sharing, re-tweeting, adding to favorites is enough. I don't usually reply to private messages and very cautious of external links. That's all you need to know, keep it simple and be alert.

I've never used Twitter and really can't understand why anyone does.  Frankly, I just don't give a tweet.

Facebook anytime. Tweeter I don't get - I do have an account which I created to enter giveaways a few years ago. I practically never use it.

I can't stand Twitter or Facebook. After extensive research and analysis, I've identified the reason why I detest social media. It's the social part.

I'm going to start my own social media outlet and call it, "Shut Up." Instead of a Like button, I'll have one that just says, "Go Away."
