I've been spending Cake-Coins voting this thing up in the bakery.
I suggest everyone else do the same. If we stand together and fight this colored strips war as workers united we can get the colored strips back to the front line.

Is Duckbar still an option? The SONAR Mods site has slowed down considerably.
 
There are a few more pressing issues than adding color track strips to themes for me. Still here is hoping all the feature requests get implemented as time provides.

Everyone has there "More Pressings Issues" in Sonar.  As for me there are some features that I ill never use in Sonar Platinum. However, for me and the Tungsten them, having the fully colored tracks and buses is one of those, "More Pressings Issues" for me.

I still use Duckbar with the Mercury theme.  Haven't tried with the Tungsten theme. Seens as if Panu can modify a theme Sonar engineers could also. More a matter of priorites i think.

The coloured bars work for me in tungsten. I can't think of anything worse than lurid, coloured strips ruining the dark interface. So while I hope you get what you want from the bakers, I also hope they make it an option so that it isn't imposed on those of us who don't want it. I kind of feel it is an option at the moment though depending which theme you choose.

I seem to be suffering from post going missing syndrome, so once again I feel compelled to add.......

Unless something has changed, Duckbar works directly with the resource file. The resource file is the Mercury theme.
if one wants a Tungsten like theme using Duckbar, they would have to make all the mods in Duckbar. Because Duckbar is directly modifying Mercury, the full strip color option is available. The SONAR theme process works a different way. It does not directly modify the resource file.

I understand that people want this, but personally, I like Tungsten the way it is and don't have a problem seeing the colours across the bottom.

Why this keeps coming back to haunt us...
 
Duckbar will not make colored strips. And EXE Colors will not work at all with SPlat.
 
However.... there was talk a yr or so ago from Cakewalk about making colored strips happen with themes. The consensus was, it may or may not happen, any time soon.
