  • Paul Stanley: “Beck should’ve kicked Kanye right in the nuts" (p.8)

Well, West probably does have a point.  Beck cheats by playing real instruments.  I bet he doesn't even know how to join two loops together!

As much as I appreciate the efforts put forth by Mr Stanley and Mr "Sixx" I'm thinking the sentiments would carry a little more weight coming from elsewhere.

Actually, we were discussing Chuck D earlier. He'd be a good one to speak up... or maybe Grandmaster Flash (he's still alive, right?)

In the rock world... let's get some Lemmy on this shiz.

However all those dudes would likely not waste even a second on this silliness... and for good reason.

Looks like Kayne is walking back his comments-

Famous musicians insulting each other is always going to get column inches. Oasis v Blur. Albini v Prince. Metheny v Kenny G. Taylor Swift v Katy Perry. Robbie Robertson v The Rest of The Band. The guy from Mayhem who murdered the other guy from Mayhem. Oderous v Grohl. Lennon v McCartney. etc

Quote from Shirley Manson (Grabage):

Dear Kanye West

It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry.

You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.

You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt.

In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.

Grow up and stop throwing your toys around.

You are making yourself look like a complete twat.

Ps. I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she’s got everything covered perfectly well on her own.

That's why Jimi will be remembered and that other guy will be long gone in a few years!

Another quote of his:

'One of the problems with being a bubbling source of creativity - it's like I'm bubbling in a laboratory, and if you don't put a cap on it, at one point it will, like, break the glass. If I can hone that… then I have, like, nuclear power, like a superhero, like Cyclops when he puts his glasses on.'

He reminds me of many of the drugged up loudmouths I met at rave parties in the early 90's.

Quote from Shirley Manson (Garbage):

Shirley Manson could sing the phone book and still give a more compelling performance than anything Beyonce has ever done.  And if Kanye came up on stage, she probably would kick him in the nuts.
