I'm going to go with "No." on that!

We had a complaint so I've killed the link.

Restored link. Hey, if they can't handle this it's not my fault!

Hi,

I would say that putting something in the background that bounced stuff would be a bit ... not thinking ahead at all! Even as kids in Brazil chasing spiders and rabbits with a cheaper version we knew not to aim at flat stuff behind it, like walls!

Amateur slingshot'r!

I think you need a content warning on that video.

Oh Man!!!! I hope the ball was not in his head!!!

I prefer the old fashioned slingshot. They also called it a "flip" because you flip it forward when you shoot it to keep it from hitting your hand... duh. I used a sling when I was a kid too. A pouch and a couple of pieces of 1/4" nylon rope, the kind David used. You can get pretty good with them. You can also hit something behind you when you are learning. I felt sort of bad laughing at the guy in the video but that was a classic "Hey y'all, watch this" moment.

I agree. It was not a good idea to put this video here. I am pretty sure it breaks the code of conduct thingy.

Too bad we have to censor this kind of stuff because someone has a weak stomach, but I respect the moderator's decision just the same. It's just not worth starting a feud over.

But the real point I am presenting is that this video is a fake. In fact, the author has published a short video on how he did it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc5HUS8dLN0 (WARNING: This video does show the ball bearing rebound but does not show the bloody aftermath. You've been warned). Actually it is quite informative as to how stuff like this is done using software, green screen, and camera shots. The guy in the video is actually a slingshot expert and is into zombie type stuff. Maybe you might not think his pre-occupation has any merit, but he does not come across as some idiot.

Yea, the original video caught me off-guard, just like it did to anyone else I know that saw it. I guess that's what makes it controversial. I'll let the Moderator decide whether they want to censor this tutorial video also.

Nothing good ever happens on Liveleak! Too bad I missed the original link before it was removed...

You have to be careful browsing that site IMO. It seems to be a confusing mix of mirth and outright horror....I saw a video of a car crash fire on there a few months ago which kept me awake at night for weeks afterward and indeed haunts me to this day...of course, always my fault for clicking on the damn thing
