With a few improvements and some development in the following areas, who knows how far this bunch of lads can go next September/October.
  • Cut out the schoolboy penalty offences in the 'wrong' areas of the pitch
  • Get the line-out working on our own throw
  • Increase the conversion rate of chances-into-tries when in possession in the opponent's 22, and specifically in and around the 5m line
  • The penalty/conversion success rate is a little low
The current squad has plenty of talent and ability, and Robshaw's increasing on-field Johnson-esque leadership and example is moulding them into a unit capable of good things in future. I'd rather they focus on team-building during the current Six-Nations series, even if such concentrating on the future costs them a chance to lift the northern hemisphere honour.

Whether they can rise to the challenge of the southern hemisphere threat remains, as usual, the main worry. The Welsh and French sides will also be a danger, as they will be more than familiar with the conditions, and to our style of play.

However it all pans out, everything is pointing to a cracking tournament in the autumn.

Or the effect of gravity when you stand on a slippy hill.

FYI - did you know that rugby was only invented so that fat kids who were no good at football would have something to do in P.E. ?

I hated rugby. Nothing reminds me of shivering to death on frozen winter mud more than that game. It's a miracle I got through school with my spine intact. Now cricket - there was a game to enjoy. Especially if you were fielding and it was a nice sunny day.

I can't actually remember if I was chunky or skinny at school. I'd have to dig out some photographs. Anyway, we didn't have a choice with sports at my school. In the winter it was rugby or rugby.
