Here we go...

I went to RGS Newcastle for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if you played us at some point (although I was there a good 8-10 years after you by the looks of things).

The guy on the bottom left looks like he just smelled something bad. The guy sitting next to him looks like he did it.

Oooh, get you.... I didn't know Strummy was a posh boy......Gonna have to watch my manners from now on, lol !

Questions.......

Eleven ? Where's the rest of the team ?

Is that a comb-over side parting in your afro?

How come the little fella in the front is wearing different clothes?

Semi related and mildly amusing side story........

Last year I was doing some work for a woman who surprised me by saying that she had just retired from being  one of the high ups in a posh school in the midlands somewhere of which she was clearly very proud and had a large and prominent picture of said school buildings and grounds on display. It looked very impressive, but the grounds all seemed quite level and there was no sign of any slopes or ramps and such, but I decided not to say anything and just made what I deemed to be appropriate noises of being impressed.....

....several days later, when I was looking at the picture again without her standing there, the penny finally dropped......State Boarding School.....NOT Skateboarding school. D'oh !

The chap bottom left is my second cousin Andrew. He'll piss himself laughing when I show him this

For anyone who follows their cricket, the team captain (centre - seated) is Tim Curtis, who went on to play for Worcestershire CCC. He was Club Captain at the County for a few years, and also played for England on five occasions.

Tim was a real gent. A couple of years after my original team photo was taken, he'd left school and played for the Old Boys (Old Elizabethans) against the school 1st XI. In my first over, third ball, I got a little bit of movement off the seam and Tim edged it through to 'keeper Carl Arntzen. The weird thing was, we were all so in awe of his prowess, nobody actually appealed, convinced as we were that he was too good to get a nick. Ever the gentleman, Tim tucked his bat under his arm, looked up to me and said "Well bowled Steve", and then walked off! Priceless memories

I can't remember who's missing, or why.

It's actually a comb-under. Full size it was really big

How come the little fella in the front is wearing different clothes?

He's the little scorer. Holding his little scorebook. And looking off camera toward his little scoreboard.

I find it mildly unpleasant to see your semi in here.

I always get the same uncomfortable mental images when James Blunt is on the radio and starts on about the three wise men......

But he's British, he knows what a semi is.
