I can't understand why he got banned though, it does seem a bit heavy-handed for what he said in here. Unless, of course, he fell foul of the COC elsewhere?
 
 

Incidentally, I tried to send him a PM to let him know I thought it was a bit unfair and that getting him banned was never on my radar. Far from it, just a bit of light-hearted CH ribbing. I took what he said in good spirit, and it was obvious he'd been at the pop. Maybe a bit of common sense might have prevailed?
 
But for some reason, the PM could not be delivered. Is that automatically disabled if you're banned?

I'm not sure why - I preferred not to get involved in any way.
I wasn't expecting anything but I'm not surprised either.
Glad to read that you took it lightly - that's no surprise either, though. :) 
 
My post is already borderline acceptable, and at this time I don't intend to speak someone who's not around. Let's just say I had a tough time not finding a certain irony in the situation in view of a few exchanges I've had w/ him recently where he mentioned that I shouldn't be allowed to comment.
 
But I'm always ready to "give peace a chance", as I think most people around here are.
